Shadow Days Are the Cheat Code
On March 3, 2026, a full day was spent shadowing an M&A lawyer and his firm in Geneva as part of an ongoing practice of "shadow sessions" aimed at improving the next version of Whisperit, a legal software product. The experience reinforced how valuable it is to observe customers in their daily workflows, revealing countless small but critical details that serve as a goldmine for product feedback — yet surprisingly few companies seem to invest in this kind of hands-on customer immersion. The day also sparked a recurring personal fascination with the legal profession, though the immediate priority remains fully dedicated to making lawyers' work more efficient. Early adoption stats from the firm are encouraging, with 80% of employees using Whisperit weekly and 50% daily, and with upcoming features like deeper integrations, automations, self-learning capabilities, and voice usage on the horizon, there is strong optimism about the product's future. More shadow sessions with partners in other cities are already planned for the coming weeks, continuing a learning-driven approach to building something

Shadow learning
3.3.2026 Today was one of these amazing days of learning. But not necessarily the learning you imagine: not using Ai at all! It was the most interesting & amazing way to learn by following a lawyer. A whole law firm actually. Spending all day in their office. The goal was to improve the new version of Whisperit coming next month! And Oh-my-god! This is so amazing! There are so many small details that matter so much. This feels like a cheat code to build a better product that all our customers love! Yet, I don't see so many businesses doing that. Following their customers in their day to day.
It's really an amazing reality check. Yet, law firms have such a particular role & are maybe not so accessible as we think. But today, I felt like a trainee lawyer. I felt like a young Harvey Specter and started dreaming of being a lawyer. And it's not the first time in my journey that I have this dream of studying law studies. I find this world fascinating. Would I dare go back to university for this? Only time will tell. For now, I am full focus 200% on making the life of lawyer easier. And that is a full time job ! ♡ So today I followed an amazing M&A lawyer.
Like I heard during a call with customers "a rock star in M&A". What a chance to be in his office in Geneva to follow all his steps & to brainstorm ideas on how to make his work, and his firms, more efficient! More fluid! It's not the first time I do this. I have the chance to follow a lot of law firms & we have regular "shadow" session. It's always a gold mine of product feedback & ideas to get the best law firm software out there. And based on the stats we have across this firm, the first results are impressive: 80% of the employees use Whisperit every week. 50% of the employees use it daily!
So now, with more integrations every day, more automations, self-learning & the voice usage that we are building, I am crazy bullish about the futur. It's really an amazing time to be alive, seeing all the tech, all the opportunities. And we will continue to shadow lawyers to learn & build the best product out there. Not just another chatgpt wrapper. Next week, I'll shadow another partner, in another city. And the week later, again. And I will enjoy doing so, learning so much along the way. Thank you, to all the people trusting us & opening their doors & their brains! Have a great day/night! Romain
